8/11/06 Rebar construction continues. This is the back curve wall. The rebar will be encased in concrete to make the first few feet of foundation walls.

Rebar column. Looks like a small Empire State Building made out of rebar!

This was formerly the oil tank's home. It will be a small staff lounge.

This was the Friends Book Sale Room. It will be also part of the staff lounge. Through the doorway (which will not be used) will be storage and Telephone and Data equipment.

8/18/06 First opening in the wall. This is the passageway in the mechanical and electrical areas of the library.

Waiting for concrete. East wall of the meeting room facing Maple Street.

8/24/06 Opening for electrical lines from the street.

Rainy days, sunshine coats.

Concrete is almost done!

One turn deserves another. Bolts for steel.

9/7/06 The first foundation wall is done!

Pink is in! Only the latest in fashion.

Black spray is water/dampproofing. Then the area is backfilled with earth.

9/15/06 This is the back wall of the Circulation Desk Area. There will be windows above this wall.

Here is the elevator pit!

The north-east corner facing Pleasant Street.

9/28/06 Approach to Main Entrance on Maple St. The book drops will be located on the left side of the entrance.

We can see the Circulation Desk just to the left of the red Bobcat! Please use your imaginations.

North side of the building emergency stairs from the second floor. These are the footings for the metal stairs.

The Children's Librarian has an office right in this corner.

Formerly the Library Director's office and archive storage, this space on the third floor will be used for storage.

The very decorative door that leads to the small balcony on the front of the old library.
